I HAVE SEEN GOD, HE BATS AT NUMBER 4 FOR INDIA.....

"I have nightmares of him running down the pitch and hitting me over my head for a six", Shane Warne, arguably the greatest leg spinner of all time, once said.

It's almost been a week since I've created this blog but wasn't able to find just the perfect post to begin with. And what could've been a more perfect way to start than to talk about some one who himself signifies perfection. Well, I've got facts to support my views. TENDULKARINE is a word awaiting its entry into the oxford dictionary which would then mean "nearest to perfection". See, i told you, dis guy is a real gem.
By now, even the dumbest of you must have guessed how big a fan I am of the little maestro. "Sir, I'm, I'm ur biggest fan, sir" is something that he must be hearing not less than 100 times a day and so, i wont call myself his biggest fan, neither will I call him my favourite cricketer, 'coz of the simple reason that he is uncomparable.

He was recognized by Sir Donald Bradman, a man whom almost every cricket enthusiast considers the greatest of all batsmen to have graced a cricket field, as his modern-day incarnation. Tendulkar also features as the lone representator of the cricketers of the modern era, in Sir Don Bradman's dream team. He also holds a wide battery of records that no other cricketer could boast off.
Well, if it still isn't enuf for you to have started respecting him, read what some of the greatest cricketing minds had to say about the li'l master.
Here is a compilation of some of my favourite qoutes about the CZAR OF CRICKET......

"Don't bowl him bad balls, he hits the good ones for fours."
- Michael Kasprowicz

"Beneath the helmet, under that unruly curly hair, inside the cranium, there is something we don't know, something beyond scientific measure. Something that allows him to soar, to roam a territory of sport that, forget us, even those who are gifted enough to play along side him cannot even fathom. When he goes out to bat, people switch on their tv sets and switch off there lives"
- bbc sports

"Sachin like god must never fail"
- Mark Waugh

"Sachin Tendulkar is a genius. I'm a mere mortal"
- Brian Lara

"When Tendulkar goes out to bat, it is beyond chaos - it's a frantic appeal by a nation to one man"
- Mathew Hayden

"You have to watch India in India truly to appreciate the pressure that Sachin Tendulkar is under every time he bats. Outside grounds, people wait until he goes in before paying to enter. They seem to want a wicket to fall even though it is their own side that will suffer"
- Shane Warne

Well, this post started with a quote by Shane Warne and ended with one too....lucky guy .........
